Iraq- Analysts: Iranian attacks were not only in retaliation for Soleimani but rather a message to the United States

Analysts pointed out that the Iranian attacks on the “Ain Assad” air bases in Anbar in western Iraq, and the “Alharir” base in Erbil at dawn, came not only in retaliation for the assassination of the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, but also carried political and military messages, the most important of which is the inevitability of the Iranian response as well as being comprehensive in terms of the stated goal which is to drive U.S. forces out of the entire region, as well as to demonstrate Iran’s missile capability to hit all of the U.S. targets in the region.
