Iraq – Citizens call for unity in the face of violation of their country’s sovereignty

Erbil- Kurdistan Region – Iraq 03/01/2020

Citizens of Erbil denounced the violation of the sovereignty of the United States of America after carrying out an air strike in which Iranian and Shiite leaders, most notably The Commander of the Quds Force Qassem Soleimani, were killed near Baghdad airport. Citizens and observers demanded a unified popular stance to prevent the parties to the dispute, specifically Washington and Tehran from dragging Iraq into a war that exacerbates its economic and social crises.
