Iraq – Full withdrawal of popular mobilization forces from the perimeter of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad

Members and supporters of the popular mobilization protested two days ago in front of the U.S. Embassy in The Green Zone in the capital Baghdad, following instructions issued to demonstrators in the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy calling on them to withdraw from the place “in accordance with the decision of the Iraqi government” which demanded a full withdrawal from this location, the protests came after U.S. raids on the headquarters of the Iranian-backed popular mobilization days ago, the demonstrators began to remove tents that were put up earlier, and the Popular Mobilization Forces considered that the message of the protesters in front of the U.S. embassy “has been understood”, members of the popular mobilization indicated that the party will give a tough response in the coming days.
