Iraq – Violent clashes between demonstrators and security forces in central Baghdad leaves many killed and wounded “Exclusive Shots”

Violent clashes broke out monday evening between hundreds of demonstrators and security forces in the vicinity of al-Ahrar Bridge, which connects the two sides of the capital Baghdad al-Karkh and Al-Rasafa, after dozens of demonstrators tried to cross the bridge towards Allawi area in central Baghdad to reach the headquarters of government buildings in the Green Zone, a number of demonstrators burned rubber tyres and created human barriers to prevent any vehicle from crossing the bridge, the riot police used live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators and prevent them from crossing into the Green Zone, these clashes ended up killing and injured a number of demonstrators, according to medical sources.
