Iraq- Turkish restaurant turns to a protest symbol and secures protesters

Baghdad – Iraq 02/11/2019

Unlike in the past, protesters in the center of Baghdad since the start of the second wave of protests tightened their grip on the Turkish restaurant building overlooking Al Tahrir Square, the center of popular movements there. The abandoned building used by the security services as a monitoring center and a means of suppressing protests in the past turned today into a protest symbol and safe haven for the protesters from a side and the Center for Monitoring and Control of Security Movements coming to Al Tahrir Square on the other hand.
