Popular protests continue to demand better living conditions and the departure of the “corrupt” for the fourth day in a row in a number of Iraqi provinces after the protest expanded outside the capital Baghdad due to the imposition of a curfew imposed by the Iraqi authorities at dawn yesterday, which led to a rise in the toll where at least 44 people were killed, hundreds injured and arrested after clashes in which security forces used tear gas and live bullets to disperse protesters in some areas, a number of protesters attacked the headquarters of the Iranian-backed “Asaib Ahl al-Haq” party headquarters yesterday and set fire to the town hall and the local council in the Shoikh market in Dhi Qar province in southern Iraq.
