Iraq – Violent clashes continue between protesters and security forces in Baghdad and other cities

Despite the curfew that came into effect yesterday, unprecedented violent clashes continued between hundreds of demonstrators and security forces in the capital Baghdad and several southern cities to protest against the deteriorating living situation, government services and widespread corruption, the protestors demanded the departure of the “corrupt” as well as providing job opportunities for young people, the clashes between demonstrators and security forces have resulted in dozens of casualties and hundreds injured since it began on Tuesday.
