Iraq – Fears of the economic repercussions of the bombing of Aramco
Baghdad – Iraq 19/09/2019
The global energy markets are still studying the extent of the losses suffered by the Iranian-backed Houthis bombardment of the two oil facilities of Saudi Aramco in eastern Saudi Arabia. Aramco explained that the attack resulted in the disruption of production of 5.7 million barrels per day. This has alarmed analysts who have expressed fears that the global energy market could suffer huge repercussions due to the suspension of Saudi oil supplies, which constitute 20% of the total world oil exports.
