Jordan – Violent clashes between protesters and security forces in Ramtha

The city of Ramtha in northern Jordan witnessed on Saturday evening violent clashes between a number of protestors and Jordanian security forces, they were protesting against the background of customs decisions issued by the government, where demonstrators burned tires and stones, while the gendarmerie sent reinforcements to the city, and used tear gas in an attempt to disperse the protesters, in addition, a meeting of government representatives and a number of elders of Ramtha city ended all forms of protesting and escalation, as it supported government measures to prevent the smuggling of drugs, weapons and smoke.
