Iraq – U.S. sanctions against the Iran-funded PMF reinstate positions in Iraq

Iran has become a main player in the Iraqi scene after its financial support  of the Popular Mobilization Forces , which has become a primary faction in Iraq and this was confirmed through the decision of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, which stated that the PMF will be joining the government forces, however, the U.S. sanctions imposed on Iran as well as a number of leaders of the PMF on charges of terrorism, corruption and human rights violations will re-establish the papers and positions in Iraq, according to observers.
