Iraq – Seminar on the necessity of thwarting the Deal of the Century and rejection of the Bahrain Conference

The Iraqi Bar Association held a seminar on the necessity of thwarting the deal of the century and rejecting the Bahrain conference in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, in the presence of the adviser of the Palestinian President for Foreign Affairs, Nabil Shaath. The Council of the Bar Association and a number of lawyers and politicians announced the formation of a permanent committee of members of the union, to be an international legal support for Palestine and its institutions in all international forums. The Council also called for a solidarity stand for Iraqi lawyers with Palestine and rejected the Manama workshop and the deal of the century. For his part, the adviser of the Palestinian President for Foreign Affairs, Nabil Shaath, stressed that the return of Iraq to its position in the Arab region is a source of strength and hope for Palestine, adding that our internal priorities are the restoration of Palestinian national unity.
