Farmers in the governorate of Lahj in southern Yemen began the picking of Jasmine flowers, with the beginning of summer. Lahj is famous for its Arabian Jasmine flowers, which is a source of income for many families in Yemen. It is also used in the traditional customs and perfumes, and Yemeni women use them in weddings and social events within and outside the governorate of Lahj. The harvest season lasts for about 6 months before winter comes.
