Jordan – Launch of the aquaculture project at Maro Agricultural station

Within the “Improving green infrastructure through intensive employment measures in Jordan” project and within the “Agriculture for the Future” initiative, the National Center for Agricultural Research, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), launched the project “Soil-free agriculture and aquaculture” at Maro Agricultural station in Irbid Governorate in northern Jordan, with the aim of finding real solutions to water scarcity in Jordan, as well as enhancing food security and spreading the concept of sustainable agriculture in local communities by supplying it with modern agricultural technology and making the facilities of the station available as an educational site.
