Iraq – Analysts: Targeting the US embassy in Baghdad is provocative and ill-considered

Iraqi analysts have described targeting the US embassy in the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Wednesday, as provocative and ill-considered, noting that the area where Katyusha rocket launchers were found is an area that is under the authority of armed parties and factions known to be hostile to the United States and close to the Iranians, they also pointed out that the apologies and justifications provided by the leaders of the Popular Mobilization forces and Islamist factions are just to acquit themselves and not to acquit all the Shia armed factions on the eastern side of Baghdad.
