Iraq – Ministry of Health and Environment marks International Mine Awareness Day

The Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment held an event to mark the International Mine Awareness day, where the event was attended by a representative of the Minister of Health and Environment, several government officials, members of the diplomatic sector and international officials. The Iraqi government makes it a priority to clear all the mines and explosive devices, before starting to rebuild the infrastructure and major residential buildings, since it is one of the most important and vital steps for restoring basic services and bringing the displaced people back to their homes in the liberated areas.
