Iraq – Analysts: Closing down fake PMF offices is merely enforcing law and order

Security experts and analysts explained that closing down fake offices posing as Popular Mobilization Forces in capital Baghdad and arresting the staff is merely enforcing law and order, and a procedure followed by all security systems in the country against some fake offices and other security departments. They mentioned that there were legal ways to communicate with these offices but they did not abide by the law. Therefore, the Popular Mobilization Forces took action and closed them down, enforcing the law and setting the tone for the performance of the committee and all security departments. They added that this procedure is part of anti-corruption.
