Iraq – Kurdistan celebrates Turkmen Press Day

Turkmen journalists and writers celebrated the 108th anniversary of the Turkmen Press Day by holding ceremonies and cultural activities at the Turkmen Cultural House of Kurdistan’s Ministry of Culture. The Event was attended by government officials, where it presented studies on the history of the Turkmen press, and reviewed the role of the Turkmen press in building Iraq’s civilization. The Turkmen journalists appealed to the relevant authorities to support the Turkmen press by increasing the publications and opening further radio stations and TV channels, which will serve the Turkmens, who make up Iraq’s third largest nation after Arabs and Kurds.
