Iraq – Kurdistan suspends oil exports to Iran

The Kurdish Ministry of Natural Resources has suspended oil exports to neighboring Iran and ordered the region’s border crossings not to allow the passage of oil tankers into Iran. Oil companies were banned from exporting oil products such as black oil, naphtha, oil condensates and liquid petroleum gas to Iran. Shakhwan Bakr, the director of Bashmaq border crossing, confirmed that the ministry has issued an official decision that requires Kurdistan’s General Directorate of Customs to ban oil exports from Bashmaq, Parviz Khan and Haji Omran border crossings to Iran.
