Yemen – “Save Them”.. campaign to fight against dengue fever in Shabwa

The Shabwa Children’s 3+1 Forum continues its campaign under the slogan “Save Them” to fight against the epidemic of dengue fever and measles, as well as fight for full medical check-ups in Zalimin and Rama regions of Merkhah district west of Shabwa governorate. This campaign is supported by the UAE red crescent and in coordination with Ataq general hospital, health bureau and citizens of the governorate. The campaign consisted of five medical and awareness committees and a committee for pesticide spraying, malnutrition and vaccination. The 3-day campaign aims to fight against disease-transmitting mosquitoes and insects that target isolated regions. In addition to that, the campaign aims to fight for a mobile clinic that provides free check-ups for cases suspected of infection, as well as free medication.
