Iraq’s Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi failed to fill his cabinet with three ministerial posts still vacant. Analysts and observers believe that the incomplete cabinet issue is attributed to regional interventions by neighboring countries that are putting pressure for picking certain candidates who might serve their interests. At the same time, observers pointed out the government’s failure to fill its cabinet will spark commotions within the Iraqi government, especially in the interior, defense and justice ministries.
