Iraq – Launching a new campaign for prostheses implantation for war casualties

A new campaign was launched for prostheses implantation and rehabilitation of a new batch of war casualties in Erbil, which included 40 amputees from Nineveh and Al-Anbar governorates who were injured as a result of terrorism and military operations against ISIS. This campaign is a rehabilitation project that is supported by the Kuwaiti Consulate in Erbil. With the start of the new year, Kuwait launched a new campaign for prostheses implantation and rehabilitation of 120 amputees as a first batch. Through the Kuwait Joint Relief Committee and in coordination with Ronahee Foundation in Kurdistan Region, the state of Kuwait continues to provide what is needed for them to be able to integrate into society and carry on with their lives as normal.
