Iraq – Continuous efforts to drain floodwater in Mosul

The municipal districts, civil defense and local government in Mosul are putting in multiple efforts to drain the floodwater that have flooded the streets, as well as some areas of the city and caused material damage to citizens’ properties. In addition, the civil defense teams have started evacuating families trapped by the floodwater in some neighborhoods while the district continues its efforts to repair the water drainage vaults and pathways that were washed away by the floodwater in the past few days despite the continuous heavy rainfall in Mosul and throughout the country.
