Yemen – Open Day for the elimination of violence against women in Taiz

The Open Day within the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence Campaign was launched with the support of the United Nations Population Fund. The open day is organized by the Yemeni Women’s Union in Taiz, under the slogan “Women’s Empowerment and Family Safety” at Garden City Park, Taiz, South of Yemen. Participants stressed the need to protect women against all sorts of violence and protect their rights within the provisions of the law.
