Iraq – Analysts Doubts about the distribution mechanism of ministerial positions in light of political strife

Only a few days separate the Iraqi people from knowing the holders of ministerial positions in the government. Adel Abdul Mahdi, who decided to use the electronic system in filling these positions, vowed to make them independent and competent, without any regard to internal and external political endeavors. In the same context, politicians and observers believe that the distribution mechanism of ministerial positions will stick to the old classic way, amid doubts concerning the proposed electronic system in choosing positions, while others suggest that changing the place of the government palace will send a reassurance message to the Iraqi people, since the Green Zone has become a symbol of domination and separation.
