Experts warned of a major water crisis in Iraqi cities following the suspension of Iranian supplies to Iraq, which exceeds seven billion cubic meters per year٫Experts also stated that this would reduce the share of water coming from Iran and thus affect the level of the Tigris River by almost half, calling on the Iraqi government to move swiftly to sign agreements with the Iranian and Turkish sides, as well as to renew the old agreements, most importantly the Algiers Convention, to avoid a potential water crisis in the coming period.
