Iraq – International Conference to combat Violence Against Women

The 10th Annual International Conference of the Islamic Day against Violence against Women issued nine recommendations to limit violations and crimes against women in Iraq ٫The most important recommendations of the conference, which was attended by the President of the Republic, head of the parliament and a number of ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries, is the intensification of penalties related to the protection of the family and assassinations, in addition to broadening the base of women’s participation in political work in general, and participants stressed on implementing other recommendations and enacting legal legislation to ensure its sustainability.
