Hundreds of Taiz residents took part in a demonstration to denounce the deterioration of the economy and demand the rescue of the local currency, which has been experiencing a rapid collapse for several months. This led to a sharp rise in commodity prices and forced the shops, banks and money exchangers to close their doors.
