Iraq – Displaced people in Dahuk receive winter in new tents

Berzvi camp – Zakho district – Dahuk – Kurdistan region – Iraq 28/09/2018

The province of Dohuk in the Kurdistan region launched a campaign to replace the damaged tents of displaced people with new ones, in preparation for the winter inside the various displacement camps in the city. The campaign, which comes in cooperation with IHH in Dohuk, UNHCR and Qandil Organization, will enable IDPs in the camps from getting new tents to protect them from the weather conditions in the region in the winter. Bersvi camp, which is located in the north of Zakho district in Dahuk, Kurdistan, houses 1,700 displaced families, mostly Yezidi displaced persons who have not been able to return to their liberated areas in Sinjar and other areas because of the destruction of their areas.
