Yemen – Shabwa hosts the first book fair

Under the slogan “Shabwa reads”, the first book fair was held in Shabwa governorate in southern Yemen, which is lasting for three days at Yaslem Bin Ali Cultural Center, in order to enhance the cultural and intellectual balance in the the society of Shabwa and move from the stage of war, which has exhausted the province throughout the past periods to a stage characterized by culture and development. The exhibition included 600 books, including novels, short stories, legends, epics, folk literature, theater, philosophy, memoirs and biographies, among the turnout of various segments of society.
