Iraq: Rebuilding Sinjar
Kurdistan government in Erbil in Northern Iraq are demanding the international community to provide support to reconstruct Sinjar city which was destroyed by ISIS in 2014, the demands came to help the displaced people of Sinjar to return home to their city.
Kurdistan Region Minister of Interior and the public relations department director of the government and Sinjar mayor met to demand the international community to provide support to enable the displaced people to return home.
Most of the city residents are Yazidi and they have witnessed cruel crimes from ISIS that controlled the area in 2014 summer and they destroyed Kurds and Yazidi homes as well as the infrastructure of the city
In a previous report from the region government, the city needs 10 million dollars to return services in 6 months and the city management doesn’t own the money to provide the basic needs.
