Iraq – Analysts: There is a gap between the work of the Integrity Commission and the judicial institutions.

A number of analysts believe that the measures taken by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to refer a number of files of former ministers and senior officials to the Integrity Commission on charges of corruption in dilapidated school contracts in several provinces came late due to a gap between the work of the Integrity Commission and judicial institutions, which will affect the investigative procedures, pointing out that the investigation of the Integrity Commission is incomplete in its legal aspects, because it does not have sufficient experience unlike the judiciary institutions, while others pointed out that the recent measures taken by Abadi aim to send a positive sign to all the citizens and political parties indicating that he is able to manage the next stage.
