Iraq – The Tigris River water level rises again.
Nineveh City Center – Mosul -Iraq 28/6/2018
After the Tigris River in Mosul witnessed a significant drop in water levels recently, the river’s water levels have risen relatively after Turkey delayed filling the Ilısu Dam in southeastern Turkey to the beginning of July. The director of water resources in Nineveh province , Abd Al-Jabbar Abdullah, said that the decrease in water at the level of Tigris is due to the lack of releases in the dam of Mosul, which was 175 cubic meters per second and now became 225 cubic meters per second, which will improve the water level in the river and therefore, elimiminate the problem for stations. Fishermen also returned to their boats for fishing in the river, which separates the two sides of the city of Mosul.
