Workers in the Takaful Humanitarian Foundation in southeastern Shabwa rescued 50 African illegal immigrants off the coast of the province on Wednesday, and pulled the corpse of 39 other migrants out of 100 who sank in the boat they were riding in the Arabian Sea on one of Hadramout’s coasts that is adjacent to province of Shabwa. The association said in a press statement that the illegal immigrants came from the Somali city of Basaso, and when they arrived by boat near the coast about nineteen hours after the start of their journey, the passengers jostled one another as they were getting off the boat event, which caused the boat to turn over, and 39 passengers sank while 50 others survived, including 7 women, while the other missing 11 migrants are still being sought.
