Karama Yemen Human Rights Film Festival, “karama” in Arabic means “dignity”, was launched in Taiz. The festival was organized by Youth of the World Together-YWT and Sheba Youth Foundation for Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture’s office in Taiz. The EU-funded event screened nine short films highlighting the topic of human rights in Yemen after seven years of war. In her opening speech, Deputy Head of the European Union Mission to Yemen, Marion Lallis, said that human rights violations in Yemen are a source of concern to the EU delegation, adding that the core of their work lies in the promotion and protection of human rights.
