Iraq – Press conference to unveil corruption files in the Iraqi Ministry of Education

In the presence of the Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Education, the Public Prosecution and Integrity Commission of the Political Board of the Sadrist Trend unveiled, in a press conference, that after verifying three out of eighteen contracts, the Iraqi judiciary summoned former officials in the Ministry of Education, after finding files of financial and administrative corruption for monopolistic authorities that has been printing school books for eight years and run by a local partner who perhaps affiliated with influential personalities. The commission pointed out that other files of corruption will be revealed in the coming days, whereas the Undersecretary of Education stated that the ministry was able to replace the external partner with ministry-affiliated bodies and therefore avoid wasting public funds.
