Iraq- The 15th Iraqi Honey Festival kicks Off in Baghdad
The three-day Honey Festival, in its fifteenth edition, kicked off today in Baghdad amid remarkable attendance of the Arab Beekeeping Association’s heads from Egypt and Syria, along with 60 prominent beekeepers, representing 15 governorates. The event aims at displaying a wide array of honey to be sold. The association, which made it clear that Iraqi honey is among the best quality honey, aspires to hold more festivals at the Arab state’s level to exchange expertise. However, officials at the Iraqi beekeeping association stressed out that the government failed to support them, not to mention that when the association sought to take part in Baghdad’s international fair, the government imposed more fees than usual
