Iraq – Baghdad Dar Al Salam festival resumes after a two-year break
After a two-year break owing to COVID, the Baghdad Dar al-Salaam Festival resumed in its tenth session, in Abu Nawas gardens, with the participation of 300 volunteers. The festival is one of the major youth activities to mark the International Day of Peace, call for rejecting violence and extremism, enhance the negative stereotype of Baghdad, and spread the culture of peaceful coexistence among sects, despite the challenges that Iraq has been going through. Hundreds of young Baghdadis attended the event which included; painting and handicrafts gallery, artistic and cultural activities, and volunteers who work to adopt these talents and provide them freelance businesses.
