Iraq – Baghdad International Theater Festival Second Session kicks off
“Theater Breathes Again.” was the slogan of Baghdad International Theater Festival that has been revived after eight years of intermission, large Arab and international artistic delegations attended the festival participating in through their theatrical performances. The inauguration included honoring and rewarding ceremony for a group of Iraqi, Arab and foreign directors, artists, in celebration of their artistic career. Iraqi Ministry of Culture Undersecretary, Nofal Abu Ragheef, stressed that this large Iraqi, Arab and foreign presence is a message for the victory of culture and beauty, while directors and academics described the festival as a breakthrough to restore confidence in Iraq away from politics and what cast its shadows on the people.
