Iraq – Supports of Security Measures in Baghdad

Following the failed assassination attempt of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhemi on Sunday, and after tension prevailed in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the deployment of armored vehicles in some areas, life returned to normal on Monday morning, as the traffic flow was resumed normally on main streets without any security interruptions. Citizens and intellectuals supported the government taking precautionary measures against the background of recent incidents to prevent any possible security breaches that can be motivated by regional parties, and they indicated that the repercussions that took place caused a kind of rise in the prices of goods and that the citizens should practice their normal life.
