Iraq – Demands for Quick Parliament Session after Completing Appeals
Iraqi people interested in Iraqi political and economic affairs demanded to speed up the convening of the next parliament first session as the Electoral Commission completes the appeals and approves the final results. Some stressed the importance of the assembly meeting to form a government and legislate important laws to advance the country’s economy institutions that take care of the public interest, not factional interests, while others warned that Iraq would slide toward a dangerous path if the legislative authority delayed taking control of matters due to the ongoing conflicts by the losing blocs rejecting the election results.
