Iraq – Political forces and independents object the election results

Candidates representing various political forces and independents who lost in the elections announced during a press conference that they had registered their objections and rejected the results of the parliamentary elections. They pointed out that the Independent High Commission failed in its performance through the electronic counting and sorting, and the results it announced, which did not match the information tape from the voting stations when compared with what each candidate obtained from the votes. The candidates demanded the formation of investigative committees in the complaints and appeals they submitted, and the recounting and sorting manually, and the abolition of some electoral centers due to violations in them, and threatened to resort to the Federal Court to challenge the results.
