Iraq – Sulaymaniah Antique Kiosk: A Journey to the Past
For the past 5 years in a small kiosk that reflects the beauty and the magic of the past, Young man (Dana) has been selling antiques to Arab and foreign tourists, where he takes his customers in a journey to the past when they see the oldies he’s displaying, such as old televisions, Radios, tools and furniture that used to be available in every home back in time. “People naturally love to recall and remember the past times because it used to be less complicated like these days where technology dominates our lives and has a negative impact on our societal behaviors and relations” Dana says. And he believes that old things bring calm, comfort and memories of the past.
