Iraq – Political Parties Electoral Programs Faces Extensive Criticism

22

Programs and projects of parliamentary elections candidates of the forces and major parties participating in the Iraqi elections have faced a strong criticism by civil activists who inferred their criticism to the weakness of these programs and that the parties are repeating their previous approach over many years, which resulted in a failure in the performance of successive governments. Iraqis find that these programs did not include any serious comprehensive national projects that can achieve a real reform or any improvements on the living conditions of Iraqi citizens, in addition to the election law, which established narrow regional quotas. Therefore, the allied forces are engrossed in winning the presidency of the electoral list to control the elected representative, while others believe that Islamic parties, by their religious nature, lack political programs and projects.
