Yemen – Mine explosion injures a civilian in Taiz

A civilian was injured by an explosion of a landmine left behind by the Houthis in Taiz, southern Yemen. According to local sources, the victim was previously shot by Houthi snipers, as the injured he lives near the line of contact between the Houthis and the Yemeni army forces. The mines planted by the Houthis have injured hundreds of civilians in the neighborhoods of Taiz and the countryside in recent years amid civil demands for the government to search for and remove mines.
