Iraqi President Barham Salih indicated that the elections should be a portal for addressing the status quo issues. He praised Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi’s efforts in launching Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership. Moreover, the president illustrated, during Rafidain Forum, that Iraq plays an integral role in the region, underscoring the fact that the ongoing conflicts are harming not only Iraq but all the regional countries. Iraq’s Parliament Speaker, Muhammad Al-Halbousi underlined the necessity of engaging youths in the political arena, adding that the upcoming elections will offer everyone the chance to be part of the reform process
