Iraq – The Sabean sect refuses to celebrate the Eid due to the tragedy of Nasiriyah Hospital
The official celebrations of the Mandaean sect on the occasion of their great feast of Dahwa Raba (Mandaean New Year) in Iraq were absent from their traditional annual presence in solidarity with the tragedy of Al-Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah several days ago, after the head of the Mandaean Sabean sect in Iraq and the world, Abdul Sattar Jabbar Helou, ordered the freezing of all Celebrations, and manifestations of joy on this feast, which lasts for five days, in sympathy for the families of the victims, and that they are an integral part of the people of Iraq of all their spectrum, and the occasion was limited to baptism only and hosting well-wishers from the sect, political figures and religious leaders.
