11

Although the parliament set its session today, Tuesday, to discuss the fire of Al-Hussein Hospital, in Nasiriyah, for isolating Covid-19 patients, which claimed dozens of lives, the parliamentary attendance was weak, and not as large as the disaster until the evening, according to the members of the parliament. Member of Parliament, Wafaa Al-Shammari, stated, in a press conference that the simultaneous outbreak of a fire in the Ministry of Health and a similar outbreak in the Isolation Hospital carries a scenario that is intended to cover major corruption projects. Meanwhile, the deputy, Hassan Khalati, a member of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee, pointed out that these repeated incidents after the Ibn al-Khatib Hospital incident indicate the existence of major negligence and neglect.
