Yemen –Water treatment project implemented near the Corrections in Taiz

The sewage treatment plant of the central prison in Taiz governorate, southern Yemen, supplied water to several agricultural areas, the treatment plant was constructed by the Social Fund for Development in the swampy place near the prison, it also contributed to the reduction of several diseases; including malaria, because the area had stagnant ponds and swamps from the sewage waste of the central prison, which caused the spread of mosquitoes and other harmful insects, and also helped to remove the toxic environmental waste left by the sewage in the crowded city. People are looking forward that the treatment plant providing natural gas for the corrections of the central prison which houses around 1,500 prisoners.
