Jordan – Jordan sedition trial to resume for the second day

The Jordanian State Security Court resumed its sessions, on Tuesday, for the second day to hear the case of destabilizing Jordan, known as the “Sedition case”, in which Bassem Awadallah, head of the royal court and former Minister of Planning and Finance and Sharif Hassan bin Zaid, are on trial, where the court concluded its hearing of the Public Prosecution’s witnesses. The defense lawyer for the defendant, Basem Awadallah, Dr. Muhammad Al-Afif, stated that the defense committee will request any witness if it is in the interest of his client, and he preferred to pronounce the verdict in the case after the judicial recess in Jordan, which runs from July 1st to August 31st.
