The statements of Iraqi President Barham Salih about the possibility of legislating a law for reclaiming the Parliament corrupt revenues smuggled abroad provoked the reactions of Iraqi activists, who believe that it is too late, and it is media propaganda with the upcoming elections set in next October because such a law is difficult to be passed with the dominance of big parties in power. Government statistics and data showed that Iraq’s oil revenues from 2003 until now have totaled around one thousand billion dollars; whole the amount of money smuggled abroad has totaled around 150 billion dollars.
